Together John and Mary have almost 40 years of industry experience. They both graduated from STLCC Forest Park hospitality program and went on to earn their bachelors in management.
John expanded his studies to England and Australia while Mary’s passions took her to Austria and Vail, Colorado. The couple met in 2012 and immediately knew two things, they wanted to get married and they wanted to open a restaurant.
With John’s strong background in events and butchery and Mary strong in pastry and recipe development they have the perfect blend of knowledge, which led to the development of Yolklore. The breakfast restaurant opened July 2016. Soon after, they turned the duo into a trio with the birth of their first baby, Margot.
Since Yolkore’s opening they have been on Ian Froeb’s top 100 every year, featured on FEAST TV, several positive local articles, and podcasts – check out press. They have become a special place in the heart of Crestwood that thrives on the support and comradery of the neighborhood.
